PATCH NOTES
Mutable Instruments Shelves has it’s two bell curve EQs set very close to oscillation by turning up the Q full and sending a offset voltage into the Q CV inputs. The offset comes from the ALM Beast’s Chalkboard. The frequency of the two EQ channels is played manually through the patch before adding a 1v/oct signal into the EQ frequency. The pitch sequence comes from the Audio Damage Sequencer 1 which is clocked from the SSF URA. The SSF URA sends a sample and hold CV into the audio input on Shelves, this is the “pinging” of the resonant filter/EQ bands. When a voltage goes through the filter circuit it pings a moment of resonance in the circuit. Often using short triggers works well but I wanted some “fake velocity” style pinging with the various peaks in the stepped sample and hold reacting differently through the circuit.
The Shelves output goes into the Make Noise Erbe Verb which is also clocked from the SSF URA to provide clocked pre-delay times. There’s a kick added from Mutable Instruments Braids and a Snare from Mutable Instruments Peaks which is vocoded against the internal oscillator in Mutable Instruments Warps. The Sequencer 1’s gate output triggers the kick and the accent output triggers the snare. They are mixed in the Manhattan Analog CP3 Mixer.
