Here’s the mk2 new and improved Sample Slicer from Ginko Synthese. I also have it’s little friend (new from GS) the 2hp Mic input that comes with this cute little lofi mic (although it works with other inputs too). The first patch takes a clocked synth sequence and samples that live before pitch, sample length (amount of slices from 1-16) and sample start position are modulated. You can really hear that great 12 bit SP-1200 style quality which is nostalgic and full of character. I then move onto talking into the little mic and manipulating my voice over some basic beats. The Sample Slicer is all about live sampling and manipulation, fun and inspiring it omits sample storage or recall in favour of working in the moment.
