Here’s the first in a series of a few videos on the new Eurorack Modular Synth modules based on the Gristleizer as used by Chris Carter from Throbbing Gristle. Roy Gwinn (who designed the original circuit in 1970s) and Chris Carter have worked with Finlay Shakespeare of Future Sound Systems to update and expand on the original Gristleizer with many updates and extras for the modular format.

This video is on the TG4 Modulator, which is the VCA in the series. But it’s a highly characterful, drive, saturation and distortion module as well.
