Here’s the first performance video from Modular Day Barcelona #6. It’s Betasquare playing a live Eurorack modular set alongside Me-lenna performing live analogue video synthesis alongside.
With leanings towards disco lasers, rave stabs, lo fi sampler crunch, chiptune, electro rhythms, Italo vibes, a knob to happy hardcore and more we got a great feel good set that everyone moving. Betasquare call it “acid pop rave electro polka”, but whatever we try and label it it’s definitely something very different coming from a modular system.
I asked about the performance and it was all sequenced by the Nerdseq from XOR Electronics and the “main important sounds were from other XOR modules”. For an image of the set up head to patreon.com/divkid for a blog post with additional images.
