So #JAMUARY2020 for me has been daily creation and posting of videos but this one is “toddler” aged as it was actually recorded over 2 years ago. It was recorded in December of 2017 and has sat in my video folder for a long time, no real idea why but I thought #JAMUARY was a nice way to make use of it and let it see the light of day. Now with something that’s over two years comes the obvious … yes there’s lots I’d change, no it doesn’t really feel like something I’d maybe do now if I was try this sort of thing again and so on. But it’s a short mini set of modular techno that I’ve tarted up in the DAW. Fading in and out some reverbs and filtering to keep things moving through the repetition. I was clearing enjoying the Basimilus and Varigate + Voltage Block combo for for making patterns and riffs. I do remember at the time this was “drum machine” that I lived with for a good while.
