I’ve had the luxury of having this unit for a while and getting to know it, exploring it’s fringes and comfort zone and trying to push it around and see what happens. Well … it’s like one giant sweet spot! It’s easy to coax out thick warm bass, new modern sound design with new wave shaping circuits … one that can fold squares – kerching! that’s not been done before … classic synth tones from either east of west coast approaches (moog style subtractive or Buchla / Serge in philosophy respectively) and a whole range of FX and loveliness that I’ve really been enjoying. So for day 17 of JAMUARY here’s the Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms Voltage Lab, the synth voice section of the Voltage Research Lab (I’d love one of those) with 5 patches playing around. Let me know your questions or recommendations for things you’d like to see with this unit in the future.
